How these scores are built
Most "will AI take my job" tools give you a single opaque percentage. We break each occupation into its core tasks and assess each one against what current-generation AI systems — language models, agents, and robotics where relevant — can already do or heavily assist. The score is the editorial synthesis of that task-level analysis, informed by published AI-exposure research. It deliberately measures task exposure, not headcount predictions: nobody can honestly predict layoff numbers, but anyone can verify whether AI can currently write production copy or reconcile a bank feed.
Scores are revised as capabilities change. Median pay figures are approximate US median annual wages (BLS Occupational Employment Statistics), rounded to the nearest $1,000.

What does the AI risk score mean?
The score (0–100) estimates how much of a role's core task mix current-generation AI systems can perform or heavily assist. It measures task exposure, not job elimination: a 70 means most of the routine work is automatable, not that 70% of workers lose their jobs. Bands: 0–29 Low, 30–49 Moderate, 50–69 High, 70+ Very High.
Does a high score mean the job will disappear?
No. High-exposure jobs usually compress rather than vanish — fewer people using AI produce the same output, entry-level openings shrink first, and the remaining roles shift toward judgment, relationships, and exception handling. The score tells you where the pressure is, so you can reposition before it arrives.
